| Hello everyone, My name is Turk Hemseri, and I am the Fleet Captain, Power for 2013, and Jack Murphy is my assistant Fleet Captain. Venice Yacht Club is a member of FCYC, (Florida Council of Yacht Clubs) and holds the distinction for being one of the original 13 members. The marina at Venice Yacht Club has 72 wet slips and has been awarded the Clean Marina seal of approval for the past 4 years. The Club is located one mile from the Venice Inlet and has a well-marked 12’ deep channel to our docks. Our 2013 boating season consists of 11 cruises - the first six rendezvous are listed below. Join in the fun by contacting a Cruise Leader to reserve your spot. Boaters and non-boaters are invited to join our Tuesday Fleet Captain’s lunches which begin at 11:30AM. Please join us for lunch, friendly conversation and interesting monthly speakers in a casual atmosphere. Greetings to all! As I begin to enter the second year of my tenure as Fleet Captain Sail, I can look back and be reminded of all the good times we had with good friends at the VYC and what a wonderful year this year was. With the passing of two named storms and no damages, I can look forward to a wonderful and amazing year of boating and camaraderie with our friends and fellow boaters. Michele and I are planning again, to sail to the Keys and the Dry Tortugas, and just hanging out at the club. I hope, that I can continue to serve the Club in any capacity that is needed. Joy has had some major improvements done to her, if you have any interest in sailing, see the Dock master or stop me and talk to me about Joy. Fair winds and following seas.
